This project aims to focus on Fahad Alsalem street, an iconic street that revolutionized Kuwait’s modern heritage and is in a state of advanced degradation with buildings set to be modified or demolished.
It specifically focuses on Anwar Alsabah complex which occupies 18% of the street and consists of a series of abandoned buildings under the threat of demolition.
The project showcases the rehabilitation of the complex through different degrowth interpretations, the act of producing more while consuming less, to help Kuwait’s modern heritage buildings endure their status and functionality.
