The skyscraper features a ground that delves into various forms in both altitudes to create different opportunities while framing its context.
The site is in Almirgab kuwait city adjacent to a grade 3 historically listed site being Alkhalawi House. Grade 3 employs that we can propose alterations but not demolish the house. Thus, our projects program intervention is to re-activate the house as an extension to a vertical ode to classic cars.
The form started with flushing all programs as a translation from Alkhalawi being 4 houses flushed into one, similarly a datum line was extracted to reveal the programs. And to frame the house from all elevations, lifting and sinking is introduced to avoid visual obscurity and enclosures were introduced by a traveling courtyard to divide the programs.
For the traveling courtyard, a route was established from the houses existing courtyards and two elements were produced resulting into a traveling ground that designates these enclosures while affecting the skin and interior.
